Preparatory School
CHILDREN must be turning five (5) years of age by 30 June in the school year of their enrolment, to be eligible to attend.
PROGRAMME:
Children come to school with diverse experiences, dispositions to learning and positive relationships that shape their lives. Having a foundation that encourages active learning, problem solving, effective communication, creativity, social adjustment, participation, physical and spiritual training, benefits children as life long learners and productive citizens. Through a developmental curriculum that considers current research and preferred practices, children are viewed as capable learners and are encouraged to reach their optimum potential. The Preparatory programme follows the Early Years Curriculum guidelines. Emphasis is also placed on preparing for Grade 1 and beyond, so our children become lifelong learners.

WEEKLY ACTIVITIES
- Interest Areas – Activity Boxes, Art projects, Mathematics Tubs
- Pre-writing skills – visual, auditory and motor activities
- Circle Time – Phonics, phonic communicators and numeracy
- Music, Library , Computer skills and Speech/Drama lessons
- ANSUA – a developmental sensory motor physical education programme and mental fitness exercises
- Physical Education lessons that include ball skills, swimming lessons, preparation for cross country and athletics carnivals.
